Leopard C. Mpande is an alumn of the University of Dodoma where he pursued Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and graduated in 2012. He also went for postgraduate studies and completed his master of mathematical computational science and engineering (specialized in the area of applied mathematics) at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in 2016. During his masters he worked on the research work titled “Modeling the epidemiology of measles in a metapopulation network”. He has succeed to publish several journal articles in the area of mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, mathematical education, computation and statistics.

Mr. Leopard worked as an assistant lecturer at Tumaini University Makumira from 2016 to 2022. Apart from providing teaching, consultation, and research, he also worked as a facilitator of the project “Participatory and Integrated Teaching Approach” from 2017 to 2021. He is currently an assistant lecturer at the department pf physiology (Biomedical engineering unit) at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS).  He has an interest in various research areas such as modeling a range of diseases in healthcare, computation, as well as problem solving in industry and society.
